Oh Louisville…Your Weather is Crazy! Tonight, I have my window in my room open! Lord help us! It was 82 and super windy today and tomorrow it will upper 60s and over the weekend it will be upper 50s! Yes, Louisville weather is crazy. On Friday, I’ll be heading to Pittsburgh where the temps will be in the upper 40s and low 50s. When I come back on Monday, there will be 60-degree weather most of the week! I’m NOT complaining because seriously, the weather is so minor in the big picture of our world. But it does mess with the outfit plans…short sleeves and cropped pants? tanks & sweaters? Jeans and flip-flops? Or maybe a little of everything for a short trip…Jeans are safe, so they are going with me and way more tops than I’ll need but I should have something for all weather! Really, who cares what you wear when you are visiting grandchildren? Those things that used to matter so much, mean very little! Last time I was there, Adrian welcomed me with some serious ...

Time for a Fix! Thankfully, I’m headed to Pittsburgh on April Fool’s Day because man oh man, I need a fix!! Today, I want to give a shout-out to my Katie! She’s juggling lots of balls in the air and sometimes, I know she surely feels overwhelmed…like we all have as young mommas! A “memory” picture popped up on my Facebook page and it is by far one of my favorites! I saw it yesterday morning and actually caught myself getting teary! She was around three, with not a care in the world except doing a good job at her recital! She was a star in my eyes and today, she still is my star! Katie has been a wonderful daughter to me, through all of the ups and downs, especially in these past few years. I’ve watched her transform into an amazing Momma to my two grandsons. Gabriel is two and a half years old and Adrian is six months. Gabriel is into everything! I love watching him with all of his cars and his imagination. His talking is at a level where we can actually have a...

GOOOOOOOO RACERS!!! Repeating once again, I’m not a huge sports fan! But I do love my teams! I really love this time of year in college basketball because there are very few blowout games and honestly, the ones I watch are actually won in the last few minutes! It’s exciting, regardless of the teams but this year ….TA DA! The Murray State Racers are playing in the first round of the NCAA tournament tomorrow night (Thursday) at 9:40pm. I am so excited for this team who actually was undefeated for awhile this season and ranked in the top 25 for a period of time! (I’m not good at tracking things, and to be fair, the Bengals were headed to the Super Bowl when a lot of this was happening!) Murray State is my alma mater. It’s where I really “grew up!” It’s where I had my first “illegal” beverage! It’s where I had a few hangovers and it’s where I met some pretty fancy people. I met celebrities like Muhammed Ali, Alan Funt, Mel Blanc, John Dean of Watergate fame and more....

So Much to Say!!! Every now and then, I just have to do an update post. Today is one of those days! Looking back over my most recent posts, seems like I have a lot to update! PLAYLIST! My playlist isn’t finished but it is coming along and WOW! You kids gave me some awesome selections! Next time you get in the car with me…be prepared to jam! GRANDKIDS! Those boys are getting big! They are in the midst of sleep training, potty training, tossing the pacifier, Adrian moving into the crib and Gabriel sleeping in a big boy bed! Adrian also started day care in February and was sick shortly after starting! Poor baby but always with a smile! Adrian is just under six-months old and Gabriel is two-and-a half! So hard to believe! I’ll be heading up that way soon and can’t wait to get my hands on them! Thank goodness for FaceTime! COVID! For once, I’m feeling positive about our isolation and masking! The positivity rates are dropping and so are the restrictions. Still feeling ...

My Wardrobe Addiction! My name is Lisa and I am addicted to pajamas! Never in a million years would I expect to be so enamored by my pajama collection. On my honeymoon, many years ago, I packed around 20 nighties, teddies, shorty pajamas and lacey underwear. I had a “personal” bridal shower, which in those days meant “sexy sleepwear” for the new bride. Due to a new job for Greg, we only had two nights away. So, I packed every one of the gifts from this shower and every time Greg went into the bathroom, or I went into the bathroom, I changed clothes! LITERALLY…I had something different on every time. For the first year we were married, I kept things interesting with these gifts. It wasn’t long after that, these items were replaced with flannel nightgowns, leggings, oversized t-shirts, and the like. Twenty years later, there were the occasional sexy or cute bedtime outfits, especially when we took trips, but most of the time, it was just whatever. Once I was divorced, I d...
