Oh Louisville…Your Weather is Crazy!

Tonight, I have my window in my room open! Lord help us! It was 82 and super windy today and tomorrow it will upper 60s and over the weekend it will be upper 50s! Yes, Louisville weather is crazy.

On Friday, I’ll be heading to Pittsburgh where the temps will be in the upper 40s and low 50s. When I come back on Monday, there will be 60-degree weather most of the week!

I’m NOT complaining because seriously, the weather is so minor in the big picture of our world. But it does mess with the outfit plans…short sleeves and cropped pants? tanks & sweaters? Jeans and flip-flops? Or maybe a little of everything for a short trip…Jeans are safe, so they are going with me and way more tops than I’ll need but I should have something for all weather!

Really, who cares what you wear when you are visiting grandchildren? Those things that used to matter so much, mean very little! Last time I was there, Adrian welcomed me with some serious spit up and Gabriel was in the midst of potty training so I needed running clothes to get up and down the steps in a timely manner!

I’m getting my “fix” of the kiddos and I couldn’t be more excited! It’s been a couple of months and in baby time, that’s a lot! These kids change every day. I’m forever grateful for Facetime and those spontaneous videos or pictures that Katie sends. We may have a new crawler this weekend and I hope that I will get to witness Adrian crawling like I did with Gabriel. When you are far away, those milestones happen and to witness any of them means a lot to me!

I’m hoping to get some pictures of the boys together, with and without me! I have few to none with both of them…Adrian is always smiling and Gabriel is running from the camera! Hopefully, with some of the “bribes” (I mean treats) I am taking along, Gabriel will give me a few cute faces!! Please send good vibes that this will be the trip where it actually happens!!

As we wrap up March (hard to believe!), I realize that time is “marching” on and there is a lot to do! Next week, I’ll be on spring break from my job, which will be a treat! I have a couple of appointments and a couple of fun things too. I’m looking forward to a week of not having to report to work (although I do love my job!) and just being able to get caught up at home!

I’m packed and ready. I’m listening to the wind and thinking the weather is kind of like life…always changing. Tonight I am a caregiver and Friday, I’ll be CeCe! Both of these roles work for me.

I’ll be back next week with lots of joy to share!! XOXOXOXXO
