Oops…A Thursday Blog!   Happy Thursday Friends! No apologies, no regrets, just a simple “I forgot” to post my blog yesterday. Wednesday, day off, and packed full! Fortunately, I had something nearly ready to go, so I am posting today. Recently, a pop-up on my computer produced an article titled, Five Reasons Why People Are Kind. This article led to a website that I soon bookmarked to become one of my favorites. The site is Positive News, as in Home - Positive News - Positive News While so much of what we have been seeing in the last several weeks/months/year has been negative and/or sad, this is a site with positive vibes. I was intrigued for sure. Now, I don’t want anyone thinking that I am all lollipops and rainbows, because we know I am not. If you have read this blog for any length of time, you definitely know that. I try to be positive, but sometimes, it just isn’t in me. Kindness isn’t always in me either, but this article about why people are kind, was lo...

A New Day…   Today is the Inauguration of our 46 th President, Joe Biden. It is also the historical swearing in of the first female Vice-President, Kamala Harris! I can't help to be emotional thinking of the Girl Power in our government today!  As you probably can assume/guess, I am glued to the activities on TV most of the day. I will take this time to reflect, refresh and renew my love for our country. I’ll pray for a peaceful day…one without anger and protests. I’ll pray for the safekeeping of all of my fellow citizens. I’ll pray that the Biden/Harris team transition will be successful. With that being said, and without being any more political, I will not be posting a blog today. Treasure the fact that we have the freedom to elect our leaders. Despite the condition of things today, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. Would you? Happy Inauguration Day President Biden & Vice-President Harris! Let’s stand together and get our country healthy and bac...

Off Days! Oh how I love my three-days a week job! It gives me a mid-week break and a long weekend every week! Working Monday/Tuesday/Thursday is working out just fine! Joey & Steve take the overnight shift on Tuesdays, so I can have a full night’s sleep!! It’s Heavenly! As you know, it’s blog Wednesday and today, although it has been my “off” day…it has been a full day! When I arrived home, I had to prepare for my “tele-therapy” session. I have determined that my mental state is in a good place. It could be the Lexapro, it could be the counseling, it could be the anticipation of a vaccine for 60 and over very soon (me!). It’s also pricey so I have decided that it is time to step back. It was a good session, discussing my progress and with her blessings from Cincinnati, she felt like my plan to stop was made with a clear head. I have to agree. For those of you who have been in counseling for any length of time, you know how personal it is and how your counselor becomes...

I am beside myself… I had a post prepared to put out for my blog, and then I started watching the proceedings of the day and just like Tillie said, in Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner , “All Hell done broke loose now…” For two years, I have intentionally stayed away from politics in this blog as it never ends well. But today, I cannot refrain. Today has been totally disturbing, disruptive, and extremely dangerous. Our country is on fire. Yes, we have a right to protest. I felt this way during all of the racial protests as well. But we do not have a right to destroy and disrespect property. Yes, I felt this same way during all of the racial protests. Most of all, we do not have a right to put others at risk for any possible injury or harm. I am most aware that most of you know who I voted for. I was not happy in 2016…I couldn’t believe that Donald Trump won. But I know that he was able to make a transition to the White House without turbulence, even though many of us were disappointed...
