The Boys are Coming to Town!!!

 

In just 48 hours or so, my two favorite boys will be arriving in Louisville! I’m fairly certain you know who I’m talking about but just in case you don’t, GABRIEL & ADRIAN are coming from Pittsburgh for a visit with CeCe!!

I can’t wait to hug on these two! They change every time I see them so I know at 3 ½ and 1 ½ they will be into everything! Gabriel will tool around in the black Chevy truck and Adrian will ride the Little Tikes roller coaster! They will be playing with my newly acquired Playmobil toys (gently used from eBay) and Gabriel will spend the night with me on Saturday night!

There will be Jeff’s donuts and birthday cakes for Uncle Steve and Betty Boop as we celebrate their birthdays this weekend. We’ll make a big deal for each of them so there will be two birthday cakes which Gabriel has already asked “will they share?” Let’s just say there may be more sugar consumed this weekend than normal!

I have a short “to do” list for Anthony which he is always kind enough to manage and I am always grateful! Katie will go to a lunch with me and my brunchers and I’m hoping she’ll be able to go through a big bin full of stuff as part of my “cleaning” out of the storage unit.

There is nothing like a fix of your grandkids and your daughter and son-in-law to lift your spirits! Although my spirits are pretty good right now, it’s always better with hugs and snuggles!

Katie & Anthony have been so good about getting to Louisville to visit with Mom & Dad (and me of course). It’s not always easy to take a 7 hour trip with two little ones but I am grateful that Gabriel and Adrian hug on Mom & Dad and it is good for the soul of my parents too.

We take lots of pictures. Maybe I’ll get one or two good ones with the boys this time! It won’t really matter, I’ll take what I can get because these boys light up my life!

I’m going to cut this short because CeCe has a few things to do…See you next week with some pictures and an update!!! xoxoxox

  I’M BACK…AGAIN! I had this ready to go a couple of weeks ago, trying to get back into my normal Wednesday blogpost, but for some reason, the evening got away from me and my good intentions to get back to “work” on my blog, just went out the window.   Go Baby Go!!! Yep…Derby week is in full swing and tomorrow, Louisville will become THE place to be for three days! If any of you are reading this and will be in the area…Welcome and have a great time!! If you want to have a mint julep, feel free to stop by! My week has been so fun and the events did not disappoint. It all started with Opening Night in the Turf Club at Churchill Downs. It was a beautiful evening with a light breeze. Our driver was very kind, but sadly, her car did not have air conditioning, so we were a little warm heading out to the track. Note to self…be sure to ask that question when scheduling!! After arriving near the gate, we enjoyed the easy ride on the escalator and elevator to the Turf Club where we were seated and greeted and ordered our first cocktails…a mint julep for me!!
