What’s on your list?
Okay, I’m not
talking about your Christmas list this time, I’m talking about your “streaming”
list…Netflix, Amazon Prime, Paramount, etc…
After I was
divorced, and in my apartment, I found that I had time for some binge watching
on those rainy days…or late nights. I enjoyed several shows at different times.
Virgin River, Bridgerton, You’re Dead to Me, Succession, Schitt’s Creek, Nurse
Jackie and Yellowstone are just a few of my favorites.
Watching shows
that are streaming is a big pastime for Mom and me. Currently, we are watching
McCleod’s Daughters on Tubi (this is a free streaming service, but it does have
some limited commercials). Although a long series would normally not be a good
choice for Mom, this show with its eight seasons is a winner! There is love and
romance, strong women, troublemakers, and some hot Australian men! I love a
good trashy show, but this one is NOT trashy but it is great! You should try
it!
We are in the beginning
of season seven and I’m on the lookout for another good one to watch. Can you
help? Mom likes the unpredictable but not overly violent. She likes historical
stories, like The Crown, but nothing too documentary like. She likes the ones
that have the warning at the top…the ones that are PG+. She’s a fan of the British
shows like Fr. Brown, and Doc Martin. We watched Dear John and it was too
predictable for her. We watched Nurse Ratchet and it was too creepy for her,
although she couldn’t stop watching. She’s not a fan of comedies like Miss
Maisel. Sometimes I don’t know what she will like.
So, I’m
reaching out for your help! If you have watched something you really liked,
send it my way! We are open to suggestions!
On a totally
different subject…I’m also going to ask for some easy dinner suggestions! It
seems as though I’m in a rut. We like it all (except I’m not a fan of liver or
coconut!). Crockpot meals are great, but I need more than a roast or chili or
taco chicken in there! Casseroles work too!
We share
cooking around here and we do our planning on Saturday/Sunday for the upcoming
week. It makes life easy for sure, but seems like we are stuck with the same
things and it’s time for some changes! Your help would be welcome!
Finally, I want
you to know I have an appointment with a new hairdresser on November 2…still a
few weeks away but anxious to give it a try!! You know I’ll be posting pictures
(or not!) once I finish up!
Duty calls, so
I’ll check out! I’ll be watching for your “get out of the rut” dinner suggestions
as well as some good TV streaming selections! Have a great rest of your week!!!
