This & That...

Okay friends, I'm headed out of town tomorrow with four beautiful women friends to see the Cherry Blossoms in Washington DC.   I'll have lots to share with you in another post I'm sure! 
Today, I am running on overload so I didn't have a lot of time to put together a post for today, but I have a couple of laughs to share with you!

Yesterday morning, as I was gathering up a few things to take to the trash, I dropped a half gallon of milk (most of it remaining).  Why do I buy milk?   Well, true confession...I wanted frosted Cheerios at the store the other day, and I had to have milk!   As usual, when I buy milk, it does not get used up before the expiration date...please don't tell Betty Boop that I wasted milk!!

At any rate, I dropped it and the top popped off and it spilled all over my newly cleaned kitchen floor.  I looked at the mess and watched it spread and then I started a mouth full of profanities...out loud, even though no one could hear me!   Somehow, it made me feel better!   Of course, I had to take a picture of the mess…as a caption came to me instantly…”Don’t cry over spilled milk!”    Some may have seen this on Facebook, but let me tell you…it was a mess!   Once I got it cleaned up, I couldn’t wait to get the trash out! 

“Well, this is a great start to the day!”  That was all I could say as I scrambled to get out and off to work!

Upon arriving in the parking lot at Mt. Notre Dame, I took one last look at myself in the car mirror.   This time, I intentionally did it because a loose hair had been bothering me all the way to work.   I figured something was stuck in my glasses.  

I found the hanging hair from the bridge of my glasses…once I removed that, I gave myself a quick once over the then it happened…AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!  Brace Yourselves…You will not be able to un-read this!!  

I found a one inch hair, stuck to my cheek, just to the left of my lips.   Okay, I said it…OMG!   This hair, was not your little chin hair that pops out overnight…it was a hair that had been growing…HOW DID I NOT SEE THIS YESTERDAY?    HOW DID I NOT SEE THIS WHILE I WAS PUTTING ON MY MAKE-UP THIS MORNING?   WHAT IN THE WORLD???  

Thank goodness, I never leave home without my tweezers…so I quickly grabbed them out of my bag and plucked that little mutton-chop starter hair (whisker, stubble, dislocated mustache, etc…) right out and it went out into the wind!     

As you know, I’m in counseling…somehow, this topic has never come up, but I am thinking about scheduling an extra session just to cover it!   LOL!  

Lesson:   There is nothing like a one-inch facial hair to take your mind off of the spilled milk!   I have been laughing all damn day!

I apologize for the overload in personal “growth” experiences…but my friends, this is my life!

  I’M BACK…AGAIN! I had this ready to go a couple of weeks ago, trying to get back into my normal Wednesday blogpost, but for some reason, the evening got away from me and my good intentions to get back to “work” on my blog, just went out the window.   Go Baby Go!!! Yep…Derby week is in full swing and tomorrow, Louisville will become THE place to be for three days! If any of you are reading this and will be in the area…Welcome and have a great time!! If you want to have a mint julep, feel free to stop by! My week has been so fun and the events did not disappoint. It all started with Opening Night in the Turf Club at Churchill Downs. It was a beautiful evening with a light breeze. Our driver was very kind, but sadly, her car did not have air conditioning, so we were a little warm heading out to the track. Note to self…be sure to ask that question when scheduling!! After arriving near the gate, we enjoyed the easy ride on the escalator and elevator to the Turf Club where we were seated and greeted and ordered our first cocktails…a mint julep for me!!
