Where Does the Time Go?
Today
is blog day and my day off. It should be easy to get a post out, right?
Well,
not so much! It’s 9:30pm and I have nearly forgotten to get this post done.
Tuesday nights are my nights “off” and an opportunity to sleep in. I stay across the street overnight so I can sleep in until 7:30am, which is divine!
This morning started like all of my other Wednesdays but somehow, the day flew by. Helping Mom, and managing a couple of “beauty” treatments that took up a good part of the day. Of course, the snow was just a little bit of a surprise and maybe a reminder that nothing is ever like we plan!
My
“beauty” treatments included dermaplaning and a chemical peel. Someday, I’ll do
a post about dermaplaning…suffice to say, my face feels like a baby’s bottom!!!
Afterwards, a pedi, which I desperately needed and happily enjoyed!
Then, something even more wonderful happened…I went to Kohl’s and purchased two pairs of shoes and I went to Von Maur and purchased a festive shirt for Derby week!
Now this may not seem “wonderful” to you but this fully-vaccinated chick was so excited to be in a store to shop…not just return something from Amazon!
I had not been to Von Maur since before Gabriel was born and it was a treat, although it was a quick trip, I was able to look around and be somewhat normal. The trip to Kohls was a trip to look for shoes and to come out with two pairs, equally loved by me, well, it was a total win!
My wallet may be a little less full tonight, but I am happy to help the stores and I can’t wait to wear my new shoes and top!
This is the first time in a long time that I have been in Louisville for Derby week. Things are totally different this year, but there is still there is Derby fever all around. This weekend kicks off a week of activities. Next week, we’ll be getting ready for the Run for the Roses on the first Saturday in May.
So
today, as I end this day, and I re-read this blog, I think I answered my own
question…time goes fast because on days like today, they are full and
productive! Not every day can be that way for me so today, I’ll take it!!
