I have a Love/Hate       relationship with Facebook   I surely hope that I don’t get banned from Facebook since I may have some buzz words that flag them and maybe send me packing…however, I’m trying to figure out just exactly what my relationship with Facebook looks like! Here’s the deal, like the title says, I have a Love/Hate relationship with Facebook. I excitedly joined Facebook while Katie was in college. I say excitedly because she was mortified that her Mom was going to be on Facebook, where she and her friends “resided!” Funny thing was, until her friends started asking me if I was on Facebook, I really didn’t expect to be on there. So, nearly 10 or 11 years later, I am a Facebook person. I loved being able to connect with family and friends. I loved being able to see baby pictures, birthday parties, weddings and more and in turn, I loved sharing my special events with people as well. I hated that it was possible for people who...

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! This Italian girl is more than happy to be Irish on March 17! Many of my memories are of those day long celebrations that many people took part in…me? Well, I started with happy hour and into the dancing hours later! I’m not sure I could hang with them now, but I sure would like to try!! Save the date! March 17, 2022…I’m celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with friends!! Today has been a great day so far. You know I’ve been working on my random acts of kindness and although I have been working hard to find them, I have been keeping up! However, today, I feel that I was treated to an act of kindness…although not totally random! As you know, I’m living in my childhood home, with my parents. I am in my old room and I’m dreaming about where I will go next! There’s no rush, as I’m needed here, and that is fine. It’s fun to think about and it gives me something to plan. I have determined that I will get rid of my neutral colors and work towards the bright col...

A Lot Can Happen In A Year!   It’s been a year since my last Gala at Mt. Notre Dame (MND) and a reminder that one week after The Gala, our school and country basically shut down. I could hardly believe that we had been able to host our newly re-branded event. Some of the things sold at the event, were postponed or cancelled and unable to be redeemed because of the shutdown. It was quite an experience. This past week was the Mt. Notre Dame Gala (virtually presented on 3/5) and they did a great job! I could not imagine The Gala being an online event. I had been in charge of five Galas, each with a boatload of details and chaos, but presenting an online event is a whole other level. I’m glad for their successes and I wish for them, a great “chaotic” in-person event next March. I miss my friends and I do miss the excitement, but I do not miss the stress of a large event! I'll plan to be a guest at future Galas! It’s funny that with my new job, our big campaign for this y...

Did you ever wonder??? Wonder what, you ask? Well I’m wondering if you ever thought you would be giddy about getting a shot? If I were answer, I’d have to say no way! I hate shots…I may be   a #grownasswoman and I know they are no big deal, but I hate them. The last time I went to the doctor, I had to get a couple of shots…tetanus and shingles (yep…I’m old!) I got one in each arm and honestly, they both hurt a lot…going in and later into the next couple of days for the shingle shot! But I survived! So, when the COVID-19 vaccine became available, I thought I would dread it…although I had high hopes of it helping us get back to normal. There were a couple of reasons for that…one was the speed at which it was developed and the other was how in the hell were they going to get everyone vaccinated! I know that most vaccines have taken years to perfect and I have no doubt there will be more improvements to these vaccines, but I also know that technology is available ...
