ANTICIPATION!!

Today, my little family arrives for the Christmas celebrations!  They will only be here for a few days as they will celebrate with more family in Pittsburgh on the 27th!  I'll take it!
Yesterday was full with grocery shopping, making eggnog (not your Momma’s eggnog!), some last-minute wrapping and getting the apartment tidied up and ready for the loads of Gabriel’s “stuff” that will arrive in just a few hours!  Oh and I may have watched a few Christmas movies at the same time!

I CANNOT WAIT!  I can’t wait to get my hands on that bundle of baby boy. Just seeing him and hugging on him fills my heart!  I can’t wait for Luna’s excitement to see me…until she realizes that I don’t want to play with her!  I can’t wait to hug on Katie and Anthony.

Perhaps what I love the most is the chaos that will ensue during these next few days!  My philosophy has been – the more chaos, the more fun that is being had!

We’ll enjoy today, then Greg will have them tomorrow (I will be working...ugh!) and on Tuesday, Christmas Eve, the caravan will leave for Louisville.  WHEW!  It’s a lot for a few days but I am grateful that we are close enough to make this happen!  I appreciate Katie and Anthony making it happen for me!

I know it’s not easy having to split Christmas between parents  People do it all the time but some people do it with grace and love and for that I am most grateful.

Keeping this post short and sweet because I still have a few things to do…like take some things to the car to get them out of the way…a little “pre-packing” of the car will make room for the family.

The trees are lit and I’ll be ready when they pull in!  It may only be a few days but it will be packed full…with gifts, food, drinks, laughs, lots of pictures, so much chaos, and TONS of LOVE!!  Let the games begin!! XOXOXO
