It’s a Happy Sunday in Pittsburgh!

Right now, I’m quietly in my room at Katie, Anthony & Gabriel’s house, in my suite, affectionately called “CeCe’s Chateau!”   I'm just waiting to hear from Katie that they are up...it's terribly quiet downstairs!!!

I am happily in Pittsburgh for a few days, getting lots of Gabriel time.   He is growing and although his little legs are still little, by little, I mean little…his cheeks are puffing out, and I can’t get enough.  Honestly, it’s amazing how things have changed in the last three weeks.   I can actually see his life patterns via an app on Katie’s phone.   She showed me his eating/sleeping patterns yesterday.   Technology is amazing!!!

I smiled when Katie said, “I might be crazy, but I can already see his little personality developing!”  So sweet!  He and I have had lots of eye to eye chats…I hope to have him “cooing” by the time I leave here!!

Katie is doing great…she is patient and strong, despite the lack of sleep.   Anthony is a very involved Dad and I know she is going to miss his help once he goes back to work tomorrow.   I’m hoping she and I can get a strategy or daily routine for her as I spend the next few days with her.

I admire how they are integrating Gabriel into their lives.   Last night, we walked to the Squirrel Hill Night Market and they had Luna on a short leash, Gabriel in the stroller, and CeCe tagging along.   We shopped vendors and ate from food trucks and enjoyed a family outing.   Gabriel seemed to enjoy it…he slept the whole time!!  Trust me when I say that this little one will not be missing a thing!!!

The sky was getting dark and a storm was approaching.   Katie had a strategy for where we would wait it out if the need arose.   Fortunately, we made it home before any raindrops fell, but it was a quick paced walk!!   At one point, I said..."You all go ahead, I can take care of myself."   I wanted them to take care of Gabriel and Luna...and I wasn't sure my legs could keep the pace!!  Katie laughed and said, "Save yourselves!!"  as if she were giving orders!!

Today, we have plans for a lunch with friends.   Gabriel will be with us and I’ll be ready to hold him while his parents enjoy lunch.   Or if it seems that Gabriel might want to stay home, well, you know where I’ll be!!

I know some of you may think my blog is now a Grandma update…I promise I’ll get back to the matters at hand, but right now, I am obsessed with this new role of CeCe!   Thanks for letting me brag!

I am giving notice today that I am going to skip my Wednesday blog. I may post a couple of pictures to give you some idea of what I'm doing with my time!!  For now,  I want to maximize this time in Pittsburgh with my “kids!”    Thanks in advance for understanding!
