Oops!!! It's Thursday! Okay friends...thanks for giving me some grace! I might have a little sinus thing going on and after taking some meds last night, I fell asleep! I had such good intentions!! Derp! So, I'm back today, and ready to discuss!! First and foremost, thanks to all of you for your kindness regarding Mom. She is doing okay, and after a little bit of extra TLC and medicine updates, we think we have things covered for now. I so appreciate everyone and your kind words. She appreciates all of the thoughtfulness. Now that I'm back in Louisville, I have become a small part of the big high school football rivalry, St. X vs. Trinity. It's very similar to the Moeller/St. X game in Cincinnati, but I will tell you that the Louisville game fills the University of Louisville stadium and these people are not kidding around. There could be over 20,000 people in the stands cheering their favorite team. Students and Alums and families treat this day and a huge occasion. To...

YIKES!! Don’t Get Sick!!! Today is a saga of health care and my freaking out about what in the world has happened? Fortunately for me, I have not had to go to an emergency room for a very long time. We pulled up to the door of the Emergency entrance and I fully expected someone to come out with a wheelchair…HA! Silly me! I ran into the entry way to get one of the self-service wheelchairs and took it to the car for Mom. Upon entering, we went to the back of a line with about eight people ahead and soon, the same amount of people behind us. I took my Dad to a chair to sit while Mom and Joey waited in line. Once they got to the front of...

A Baby Brings love and a  Four-year-old Brings Hope!   Four short years ago, Gabriel came into our lives as my first grandchild. I had anticipated the arrival like no other but never in a million years did I expect to have the feeling of love that I experienced that day. Fortunately for me, I was able to travel and arrived well before he made his appearance. Thankfully, my daughter, Katie delivered this perfect bundle of joy…and his arrival changed my world! Watching Katie & Anthony become parents was something I will never forget. I know that Gabriel was a gift and his timing was perfect! He didn’t know it, but he helped me heal my broken heart. He will always have a special place in my heart for sure. As I began to grow as a “CeCe” (my grandma name that has worked out very well!), I realized how much there was to learn from the eyes of an innocent child. There is no hate, there is no bias, just so much wonderment and I cherish every minute of watching hi...
